Elizabeth Bean, LCMHC
As a licensed mental health counselor, Elizabeth Bean is passionate about working with individuals, couples, families and groups to overcome and grow from life’s challenge. She utilizes strong therapeutic skills to help her clients live happier and healthier lives. Struggling with challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, bereavement, parenting, behavioral issues, relationship difficulties and adjusting to life changes can feel overwhelming at times. Therapy is often an effective way to gain insight about oneself, learn strategies to address personal, family and work challenges, create – understand – achieve goals, discover one’s own strengths and how to use these to create a meaningful life.
Elizabeth’s treatment approaches include solution-focused, client centered and cognitive behavioral therapies from a strength-based perspective. In her work with families and individuals, she often utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for the treatment of PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Her approach to therapy is direct, compassionate and collaborative, recognizing that the therapist and individual work together with a shared vision of the individual’s goals and changes needed to meet those goals.
