Stephanie Kopczynski, LCMHC
Stephanie Kopczynski is a licensed clinical mental health counselor that specializes in helping people with trauma, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem and body image issues. Based on the individual’s need, Stephanie helps clients learn the necessary coping skills that lead to a more fulfilling life. She utilizes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist each person in achieving their goals.
Before Stephanie came into private practice, she served as the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Leader, at a local mental health community center, where she lead a team of mental health clinicians working to address members of the communities’ mental health needs. Prior to being the ACT Team Leader, Stephanie was a Therapist in the Community Support Program where she served people with various mental illnesses through individual and group therapy.
“I believe that the challenge in working with a client is to treat each person as an individual and to focus their treatment in a way that takes into account their history, their lifestyle, their environment, personality, learning style and anything else that can help guide the course of their therapy for the very best outcome.”
